One of the toughest I've ever faced on this site. And after over a half hour of pondering, I have reached a conclusion - Batman Begins.
If you're not SquareMaster, you're able to pick the better film.

With a bit of hindsight, The Shining is slightly better.

The Shining is far lot better.
Diane Johnson on Kubrick: "[Kubrick] always said that it was better to adapt a book rather than write an original screenplay, and that you should choose a work that isn't a masterpiece so you can improve on it.
