Two of the biggest Hollywood stars in two of their best roles. I'll go with The Shining on this one just because of my love for horror movies.

Ill go for Raging Bull because it is one of Scorsese's masterpieces and better acting. I just love it so much better.

The year of 1980! Two of the best movies were made in this year but for me, like Rob, I love Raging Bull so much more!
It's close, but I like the Shining more.
Choosing between these two 1980 masterpieces is one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make on Flickchart. They're both in my top 20. Two masterful directors at their prime. I think I am going to give it to Raging Bull only because Robert De Niro gives what is, in my opinion, the greatest acting performance of all time. Goodness, such a maddening decision.

Both characters are beyond repugnant to watch but the time piece of the 1940s NYC is the difference here. Raging bull is far better
