ROTK is definitely one of the most epic movies of all time, but at the end of the day, I think I'd rather watch Avengers.
Return of the King is a million times better. It's not even close.

In my opinion, Avengers was the more entertaining movie. But, yes, ROTK was the all around better movie.

Avengers 2 tried to be more epic than it should've been. Still an enjoyable movie, but a real let down from the high "Empire Strikes Back-esque" expectations I had for it sequel-wise. Return of the King however, is an epic all-around achievement and a brilliant conclusion to Lord of the Rings.

Return of the King takes the nod, overall Age of Ultron is good though.
Both high end but going with Avengers in this one.
