Tough decision. Amelie or Requiem for a Dream.

While it's not a film you'd want to necessarily watch over and over, REQUIEM is certainly the better film. The score, performances, tone, cinematography... all superb.
Requiem For A Dream is the best film ever made about addiction. Amelie is charming but outclassed by a brilliant competitor.

Although I agree that Requiem is a great movie, I do not think it is the best film about addiction. I'm giving that to Trainspotting. Amelie is also better than Requiem.

I don't think I'd ever watch Requiem for a Dream again as it's too unsettling, plus I didn't really know what Amelie was all about.
