Forrest Gump sucks; The Princess Bride I'm personally not a fan of but I'd rather watch the latter because the point of the former irks me so--a "hero" being someone who is in the right place at the right time.

Forrest Gump could never decide if it wanted to be a dark comedy or oscar bait. Princess Bride succeeded at balancing its subversive humor with its whimsical narrative, it wins by a landslide.
