OH NO! I love both these movies for completely different reasons! I guess the light hearted Amelie wins out, only because I would be more likely to want to watch something cheery then depressing. It all depends on my mood really. They are both visually stunning and great stories.

I have to go with Amelie as well. For the same reasons. But these two are definitely of the same caliber. Very close match!
