A match-up of two "Top Ten of the Decade"-type films here. These films are each astonishing, for very different reasons.

Two relentlessly tense and depressing films, and I wouldn't have it any other way. It proves that films don't have to be "Fun" and "Light-hearted" or any of that nonsense to be quality film-making. I'll take these over camp like "Avengers" any day of the week.
Mystic River is just a freakin masterpiece from top-to-bottom. Labyrinth was solid, but honestly, I don't think it compares...
