Robert Altman is a genius and in comparing these two films, it is never more apparent. For all it's visual splendor and galactic intrigue, I would rather spend two hours in Minnesota with Altman and company than revisit that famous galaxy far far away. Episode II has a few interesting moments, but this is the film that George Lucas truly lost control of his creation. A Prairie Home Companion welcomes you with a big hug and never lets go and envelopes you in a world that you never want to leave. It's a shame that it received zero award recognition that year.
