In Bruges vs. Grand Hotel

Two hotel based movies. Grand Hotel's intertwining stories don't come off evenly, although there are good, emotive sections as well as unanswered questions left dangling, tantalisingly at the end. In Bruges is effectively an caper movie in disguise, well shot and with morals so absolute that even the characters feel so oddly bound too, it contorts them into different people. Grand Hotel is the more natural and unusually for such a highly plotted film, more character driven. It wins.
