It's all about Hellboy. MIB was great when it came out, but I was also 12 when it came out. HELLBOY is far, far more awesome, sophisticated and witty. If Guillermo del Toro had directed MIB with Ron Perlman in the Tommy Lee Jones role it might be a different story...

Aw, hell, Tommy Lee by himself is half the reason MIB is as fun as it is. And it was pretty damn original, too. (Which was the big problem with the sequel; I worry about the upcoming threequel.) I also love Hellboy, but right now, I'd rather watch MIB again.

Also, I didn't mean to imply that Hellboy isn't also a very original work. There's a lot of imagination going into those two films.

It's an interesting comic-book adaptation showdown. Both have incredible ambition, and both fall short of greatness. The charisma of the two leads carries Men in Black.
