The Beatles' most profilic film vs Prince's most profilic film. I'm more of a Beatles fan than a Prince fan and I rather the carefree and youthful feel of Hard Days Night over Purple Rain's more serious tone. It's not a bad film but I struggle to sympathise with The Kid. Hard Days Night doesn't ask for much from it's audience but I think it works because of that. Particularly 55 years later when he can get an understanding of how big Beatlemania was at that point!
