Quantum of Solace vs. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

I had more fun watching Indiana Jones. I know Quantum is the best Bond film and all, but it's still bested by the least-loved Indy movie.

As disappointing as Indy 4 is, this is no contest. Quantum of Solace is probably the worst or second worst Bond movie ever (can't really choose between QoS and Die Another Day) and was a huge letdown after Casino Royale. Indy 4 on the other hand is still quite good, despite its flaws, silly storyline, overuse of CGI and a horrible Cate Blanchett as the villain.

I've seen all but two of the Bond movies, I believe, and not a single one of them quite attained the level of crappiness that Crystal Skull did. Quantum of Solace is definitely low on my list of Bond flicks, but it never manged to be as appallingly idiotic and empty as Crystal Skull. It came close, but the ending alone of Crystal Skull was so mindbogglingly lame that Quantum of Solace looks better by comparison.

Quantum of Solace is pretty audacious in calling itself a Bond movie, but I still thought that, as an action movie, it was pretty damn entertaining. Compared to Crystal Skull's CGI ants and prairie dogs and monkeys, utterly disposable Karen Allen, and fridge-nuking, I'll take QoS any day. (But they'd better lighten up next time, or the 007 franchise is going to suffer....)

Indie is more Indie than Bond is Bond in these bad parts, so...

Quantom of Solace is a great James Bond movie. One thing that is good about the Daniel Craig movies is that Quantom of Solace followed Casino Royale where as the older movies were new each time. Indy 4 was a fun movie. Even though some of the scenes were complete nonsense(being blown away in a fridge and Shia swinging through the jungle), I still enjoyed the movie a lot.

Everything beats Crystal Skull.

Both are disappointing, but whereas Quantum of Solace is a disappointing sequel, Kingdom Skull is a hypecrushingly disappointing entry. It isn't as godawful as some people claim it to be, it just kind of exists (or not, since it's almost completely CGI *punch line drum*). Speaking of 'just existing', Quantum of Solace is also a very 'nothing' movie. It's not very good, but come on now. Come on: worst Bond movie EVER? REALLY? Have you not seen the shit in Diamonds are Forever, Moonraker or Die Another Day? I mean yeah, the action in QoS sucks (fast-editing and shaky cam to the extreeeme) and it's often dull, but at least it didn't have the main villain IN DRAG and it's not nearly as boring as some of the Moore Bond flicks. It's mediocre. Both of these are mediocre.

I basically agree with Mystic Spoon. Quantum is not as boring as some other Bond films, and Crystal Skull, while I refuse to admit it to the Indy canon, is not so bad as to be unwatchable for me. Given the choice, I'd pick Quantum, but that's only because I like Olga Kurylenko.

Quantum is underrated and easily wins this.

Quantum of Solace all the way. Mr White is also far better villain than Irina Spalko.
