Bergman's crisis of faith chamber drama vs. the quintessential German Expressionist horror film. Either of these deserve the nod, for lots of different reasons, but my personal preference has to go with the Expressionist classic.
Winter Light is great, but I wouldn't call it "Top Bergman". I think Dr. Caligari is the better of the two.
