Martyrs vs. Graphic Sexual Horror

If you watched both of these, a lot of torture would be covered. It's interesting that both movies have something to do with how pain can be transcendent. Graphic Sexual Horror is a documentary about the rise and fall of an extreme bondage website. Martyrs is all made up, but still disturbing. I think Graphic Sexual Horror disturbs me more because it's real and I don't find much entertainment value in the subject matter. Martyrs at least has a perverse wrap up to all the depressing scenes that makes it more enjoyable. If that's the word.

Speaking of crazy BDSM torture films, have you seen a Japanese film called Grotesque? They banned it here in the UK and I hear it's completely fucked up (which might no be saying much because I think all BDSM is a bit fucked up).

Because I value my soul, I don't know if I should approach a crazy Japanese BDSM torture flick. I've watched some Japanese movies that flirt with that sort of thing, but Grotesque looks like a whole different ballgame. Torture Porn is not a genre I've mastered yet. I still need to take baby steps. The UK has been known to ban movies that aren't particularly ban-worthy, however. Maybe Grotesque isn't that bad...
