These are two of my favorite movies to watch when I just want to turn my brain off and have a dumb ol' good time. This makes my choice quite difficult, actually. I have seen both movies at least a dozen times. I guess Independence Day just edges out The Rock here....

Two of the biggest movies of '96. I remember seeing them in the theatre and loving them both though Connery & Cage work so well together in The Rock that I have to vote for that.
