What an amazing year for film.
Chinatown wins because it was that good.

Can't believe these both came out in '74 along with some of the other best films ever made. Why can't we have years like this now?

Chinatown is a much better movie. I didn't really care for The Conversation, it drags on in most segments and it offers an uneasy story.
