Red October wins this one, but it´s very very close.
Close, but Hackman and Washington are much better actors than Baldwin and a goofy-accented Sean Connery.

crimson tide was surprising good but at the same time the action sequences were a little underwhelming and to many of characters were unlikable .Red october had me at the edge of my seat the whole time and i liked the cast as a whole better

just recently watched both, red october is far more engaging, thrilling and educational.
