Last Year at Marienbad vs. Children of Paradise

This might be one of the most difficult match-ups I've come across. So very different: a perfectly acted and directed epic romantic melodrama, or a melancholic, austere dream-like ponderance? I think I'm going with "Children of Paradise", which is something I could watch repeatedly regardless of my mood: it has the 'entertainment' factor over Resnais' masterpiece, while both are equally rich in subtext.
