They're basically the same premise. Only one is caused by magic, whereas the other is some form of psychopathy. In case of doubt, always side with magicians they can make coins appear behind your ears, whereas psychopaths will just use your ears as currency.

I'll be honest, Yes Man was utter shit and entirely unfunny in comparrison to Liar, Liar.
