Ugh; hard choice, but Henry Fonda wins out here. Much more effective. Plus it's the directorial debut of Lumet, hitting a home run at hsi first at bat.

12 Angry Men is a better movie simply because it relies on less gimmicks.

I really like both of these and could probably go either way depending on my mood. Right now, I'm inclined to give the nod to "Die Hard" for Alan Rickman's delightful performance as Hans Gruber.

I have to say that 12 Angry Men wins this one.

Is 12 Angry Men the better film? Probably. But the simplicity of Die Hard and its redefining of the genre, along with the fun performances from Alan Rickman and Bruce Willis, help it earn my vote.

Put it this way: If you add up all the actors in both movies and rank them according to their performances in this particular matchup, Bruce Willis would be ranked 13th. Let that sink in.

If this is about entertainment, not necessarily quality, then Die Hard wins. And I just want to be entertained....
