Well, The Witch might actually be better than Blair Witch, but Blair Witch has power over me.
The Blair Witch Project. It really showcases its terror in a uniquely subtle way. The Witch does too, but Blair Witch just beats it on every level.

The Witch is obviously the better film here, but just like everyone else, TBW has something uniquely special about it. Maybe it's the 90s charm that still grips me, or maybe it is because it was truly the first film that frightened me back when I was a teenager. Anyway, it wins for me.
