Damn you, Flickchart. I wasn't allowed to see the Exorcist as a kid, so when I got to watch it at my friend's house, maybe that experience has something to do with how highly I regard it. It isn't quite up to par with The Matrix, but I'll never forget the experience of seeing it for the first time.

Not fair, Flickchart. Not fair at all. Both are amazing, so this is probably like asking a parent which kid do they like better. I think for now, I'm going to say The Matrix, since the visuals and action consistantly blows me away. But still, that is low.

The Matrix was largely underwhelming apart from Hugo Weaving's performance. The Exorcist still remains one of the scariest films ever made. A masterpiece of its genre.

The Exorcist is timeless while The Matrix is merely a film of it's time.

Sheeeeeit. This is tough. Think I'll go with The Matrix. I just love the story and world it introduced.

I can honestly say I didn't find Exorcist scary, but I don't find most movies scary. Plus it sparked a exorcism horror genre, which kind of irritates me.

I don't think The Matrix is all that good, but for sure it beats The Exorcist.
