love the original Phantom Lon Chaney the man with a thousand faces is scary such a spooky film with the Chilling Organ music and he reveal of his ghastly face is horror legend on the other hand SALO is a fringe horror or sadistic horror its gross revolting and demented, great moral story and symbolism for the way the rich often behave such an underground film and truly great. this is hard to pick between eras.
