Beauty and the Beast . . . it may be the greatest animated (hand-drawn) movie there is.

For standing on its own, and for being incredibly good, Beast just trumps Rings.
Beauty and the Beast is, indeed one of the finest traditionally-animated Disney films there is, but it can't top my #1.

Wasn't quite as crazy about the LotR trilogy as most, though Fellowship is a mostly decent, if somewhat shaky film. Beauty and the Beast, on the other hand, goes down as my favorite traditionally animated film to date.

Lawlawlawl! Not a fan of Beauty and the Beast? Where's your heart, sir?
I revisited both of these recently and Beauty and the Beast holds up amazingly well. Fellowship of the Ring is great, and I think the best of the series, but for now Beauty and the Beast has earned the vote.
