A Nightmare on Elm Street vs. Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter

1984 was a good year for horror obviously. . .

funny how the best Jason sequel came out the same year as the Best 80's horror film easy Elm Street rules!

I still think that Jason's debut is the scariest of the Friday movies. He is actually running around the woods with a sheet on his head. I'm going with Nightmare here. Friday 4 is great though

Every Friday film kind of suck. Going with Nightmare, Nightmare 3, and Nightmare 7 over them all.

The Final Chapter is my favourite Friday the 13th movie, but it can't be that first Nightmare on Elm Street.

Y'know, The Final Chapter isn't good, but it's still fun, and legitimately scary. Far from great, it still holds up very well; Jason was pretty badass and it introduced Tommy Jarvis, who would be the protagonist of the best Friday movie, Jason Lives. But A Nightmare was actually a good movie, great fun. Robert Englund was a blast. I'd take Nightmare over any Friday movie.
