The Classic Nightmare crushes the 6th Friday. Jason does't live long here.
Both are great fun; my favorite movies in their respective franchises. I just re-watched Nightmare and it holds up very well, even better than early viewings. Sorry, Jason Rambo, I'm also going with Krueger here.

Jason Lives is one of the better entries in the Friday the 13th series, but A Nightmare on Elm Street is truly terrifying.

Yes, Nightmare on Elm Street is a good film, and frankly a better made film, but Friday the 13th part 6 is a more entertaining film for me, mostly because I like the Friday series better than the Nightmare series.
