Up In The Air had a plot at least. Nothing out of the ordinary... It was kind of forgettable, but it was better than Avatar.

Up in the Air equals REAL Oscar contender. Avatar equals Oscar pretender that's all FX with a dumb as dirt story.

i hate both of these but i guess up in the air has more substance then avatar.

Up in the Air was a good movie, with a good plot. But I found it to be ultimately forgettable. And that's usually how I rank movies; how much they stick with me. So I'm choosing Avatar.

The end of Up in the Air was horrible bordering on the offensive, but at least there was the germ of decent idea there. Avatar is one long 3D cliche that not even immersion in Pandora can overcome. Up in the Air wins.

It's Avatar for me because the minute I saw it I knew it was my favorite and Up in the Air, allot of people call this their favorite and I call it my number 2 so I go with Avatar because I like the story and it's something to be thought of in the future.
