Two great examples of how you do sequels right!
Empire, and it's not even remotely close.
Empire all the way. Winter Soldier just might be my favorite Marvel Studios film but it still has issues.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier is a simply superb actioner. The Empire Strikes Back is massively overrated and extremely average. Not even close. How anyone could ESB is better is crazy.
