William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet vs. Midnight in Paris

Both of these are outrageous fun, though Midnight in Paris has more accolades. Do I prefer Harold Perrineau's Mercutio and John Leguizamo's Tybalt to the revolving cast of famous actors playing famous writers? I think I might.

I'm one of those people who hates Baz Luhrmann's directing style. Waaaaay too much in your face and obnoxious. And Tarantinoing Shakespeare just doesn't work at all for me. Midnight in Paris isn't quite perfect, but I did get much more enjoyment out of it.
