You've got to give the Spanish crew credit. Coming in at night, using the same sets, scripts, and equipment, but they still managed to create a stylistically unique movie. Unfortunately they couldn't get Bela Lugosi to learn his lines in Spanish, becuase that would have been too awesome.
The English Dracula wins here.
I really almost want to say the Spanish version is better. The camera work is so much more dynamic and atmospheric -- The biggest problem really is the actor playing Dracula in the Spanish version just doesn't have the same presence as Bela Lugosi.
This is tough because they're so similar, and it's possible the Spanish one is an even better movie, but I'm afraid their Dracula just isn't on par with Bela's.
