Two of Disney's some-what less popular animated films . . . and I love them both. They were a big part of my childhood, particularly The Fox and the Hound.

I'm going with Tarzan. It's a big movie with eye-popping animation, wonderful action set-pieces and a a great pop soundtrack, but it doesn't let that get in the way of its story. For all its visual splendor, Tarzan is a very intimate movie. It's characters are some of Disney's most complex and even though it takes place in a fictional African jungle setting, their hopes and fears feel very real. The Fox and the Hound should not be missed either. It's an extremely emotional story with unforgettable characters and beautiful animation. The scene where Widow Tweed releases Tod into the wild is one of the most heart-tugging scenes in the history of Walt Disney Animation.
