Notorious vs. It's a Wonderful Life

These are currently battling for #1 on my list (although To Kill a Mockingbird isn't lagging very far behind). Capra and Hitchcock are my favorite directors, and these are my favorite movies from each -- and oddly enough, they were released on exactly the same year. I think Notorious is a virtually flawless piece of filmmaking, and it's topped my list for a while now, but I think It's a Wonderful wins for me right now for its timeless message.

Notorious is okay, but Alfred Hitchcock certainly made better. It's a Wonderful Life is an easy winner here.
