Hellboy was the better film. . .just as del Toro is the better director.

I'll agree that Del Toro is a better director overall, but I have to say that Watchmen is the better film.
Hellboy wins!!!
Pretty close...Watchmen is bigger, more artistic, interesting, and not your typical superhero movie. Hellboy (the movie) is bad-ass and is more entertaining. They both have their problems though; in Watchmen, there's too much slow-motion and some of the music choices are weird, and in Hellboy, there are some pacing problems and the story is straight-forward. With that said though, I love these two movies.
