Two great Next Generation movies here. Insurrection is indeed very good, but First Contact is one of my all-time favourites.

When "Insurrection" opened in 1998, I was among the many who didn't care much for it. It felt weak, like a glorified episode of the show rather than a feature film. I eventually realized my real problem wasn't any of the admitted flaws with it, but rather simply that it wasn't "First Contact." Picard's showdown with the Borg also has flaws, but it's also among the finest (two) hours in the entire "Star Trek" canon. It gets the nod.
