Star Trek: First Contact vs. Independence Day

I remembered that Brent Spiner appears in both of these movies. I don't really like Brent Spiner. I don't really like Star Trek: The Next Generation all that much either, but First Contact is probably the best movie with that crew. Independence Day has greatly lost its appeal since I first saw it in the theatre, but Brent Spiner has a much smaller role in that movie. Overall, though, First Contact is less annoying than Independence Day. The Borg are also much cooler than the aliens in Independence Day. (I must confess that Bill Pullman's speech in Independence Day does get me a bit choked up; but, then so does that part in First Contact when Picard tells Worf that he's the bravest man he's ever known.)
