Watching Hancock is something like watching the whole Matrix trilogy. It starts out promising, loses steam toward the middle, and then totally goes to shit at the end. Thankfully, I can choose never to watch the Matrix sequels again and just enjoy the original. With Hancock, I'd have to stop watching midway through every time. I would have to say that Hancock as a character is more likable than Neo. Or maybe Will Smith is more likable than Keanu Reeves.
Even Will Smith can't save the atrocity called Hancock. Matrix has no match here.

Hancock is mediocre at best. The Matrix is one of the best Sci-Fi films out there.

Hancock had a cool concept and a lot of potential, but the film just didn't turn out very well (though I didn't find it as bad as some others have). The Matrix wins easily.

I feel like I'm one of the few who actually liked the last 2/3rds of Hancock. Still. the Matrix is a more exciting movie.
