My two favourite monster movies. Jaws wins thanks to the lightning-in-a-bottle ensemble of Scheider, Dreyfuss & Shaw.

Love both, but Jaws wins for sure with me. Gotta admit though, that it's fairly close. Good battle here.

Not easy as all the Thing has better effects and a scary story but Jaws is just something special.

Close enough. Jaws was a fuckin' killer horror movie. Had Spielberg retired after completing Jaws, he would still be recognized as a legend. Nuff said, I'm taking The Thing. I love Lovecraft, I REALLY do. And It's just so thrilling and atmospheric and shit. Tough one, but The Thing it Is.
