Wow. Now THIS is a classic matchup! Giving the edge to Streetcar.

I don't love either film, but I have to also go with A Streetcar Named Desire. Rope is currently my least favorite Alfred Hitchcock film.

Caesar, I don't know how many Hitchcock films you've seen, but I can name plenty that aren't as good as Rope.

I've seen 18 Alfred Hitchcock films so far, and Rope is the worst of the bunch, in my opinion. It's not horrible or anything, but I do consider it an example of Hitchcock getting a little too experimental for his own good. It was a noble failure from great director.

Have you seen any of his movies after The Birds (1963)? You'd be hard pressed to find a better one than Rope during the post Birds era.

Admittedly, Frenzy is no masterpiece, but I still view it as better than Rope.
