Frequency vs. Equilibrium

I think the story in Frequency is much more well crafted. Although, Equilibrium has some amazing sequences shot by Kurt Wimmer in one take. Equilibrium I discovered in a movie theatre in 2003 on a Friday Night and by the next Thursday it was gone, yet it was the first film in recent memory to feature Christian Bale in a film where he wasn't "Christian Bale." It made me feel like I was a true cinephile for "discovering" his acting skills way before anybody saw him in anything else...besides American Psycho, which wasn't a great display of his more subtle performance in Equilibrium, then Batman Begins, The Prestige, etc.

Equilibrium has yet to get the attention it deserves. I though Frequency was great, but I prefer Bale here.
