Apocalypse it is. Deadpool had its moments, but overall it was just overrated.

Deadpool was fun, but I'm going with Apocalypse. I was just more invested in the characters.
Man, this is a REALLY close one. Deadpool has the more awesome moments and laughs, but has dull scenes in-between while Apocalypse is not as awesome, but is more consistently engaging. Slight edge goes to Apocalypse.

Deadpool all the way! It's not even close. Deadpool was a breath of fresh air in a year full of comic book movies and blockbusters that are mundane, by-the-books and generic. Apocalypse is no exception.
I simply enjoyed X-Men: Apocalypse more. Besides Civil War, X-Men: Apocalypse is the only film of the summer of 2016 that didn't disappoint me.
