Zombieland actively irritates me, while Resident Evil... well, talk about the lowest of the low. It doesn't really irritate me because there's nothing _there_, it's like it was made by a computer program or something. Someone typed "C://post-matrix-action movie" in some command prompt and five seconds later it was made. It's white noise. I dunno. Atheist death vs. burning in hell?
"C://post-matrix-action movie" I laughed. I dunno. I don't love Zombieland, but I certainly don't hate it, or even dislike it. Resident Evil is exactly what you said it was. It's nothingness. I don't find it particularly irritating, either, but it's still shit. Its sequel, however...
