This is a hard one.
Both of these films would make it on the list of the greatest fantasy films ever made, but I have to go with The Wizard of Oz on this one. In fact, I think it would be my number one choice. Few cinematic landscapes are as memorable and lovingly conceived as the land of Oz and no lead heroine inspires more empathy and love than Judy Garland's Dorothy Gale. To top it all off there is a collection of iconic supporting characters and a classic (and catchy) musical soundtrack.
