The names of these films could be interchanged and still be very fitting. V doesn't ask for sympathy, but the viewer nonetheless finds them sympathising with an unexpected cause. Ryu is never melodramatic enough to adopt a monicker like 'V', and he doesn't have a grand scheme either, but vengeance becomes his identity.
V for vendetta for me. I just could'nt keep interested in mr vengeance and found myself thinking of other things.
