SUPER and Hot Rod are both inspirational films. You know, the main character in both films is fighting for a noble cause. In Hot Rod, he does stunts to raise money to keep his stepfather alive so he can kick his ass. In SUPER, the guy becomes a costumed street vigilante so he can rescue his wife from drug dealers. Hot Rod makes me want to follow my dreams. SUPER... well, the message is that we should selflessly help others so they can become their best. I think. That is noble, sure. But the movie is depressing. Hot Rod is pure happiness.
