Though Burton is the clear victor it wasn't until Batman & Robin that this series beame truly atrocious.

I think Batman Forever is better than most people seem to think it is (though B&R is an abomination before the lord to be certain), but Burton's original is definitely the better film.

Frankly, I always enjoyed "Batman Forever." I think Batman is the one character than can be interpreted seriously or more cartoonish and still work. That said, I still prefer Burton's '89 film.

Bf is still decent fun. Got nothin' on the original though. Jack has too much swagger.

Proof of how far a cool franchise can fall in six short years. Everyone, including Chris Nolan had better take note and please learn from history.
