Burton's Charlie was overwrought (surprise?) and not worth comparing to the Gene Wilder version, but at least it wasn't dull and faux philosophical like Where the Wild Things Are.

Words cannot describe how much i hated the Chocolate Factory. Where the Wild things are was at least just annoying.
I found Where the Wild Things Are terribly dull.

I personally enjoyed Where the Wild Things Were. I liked the way the creatures were brought to life and how it didn't hold anything back from the story. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was jut painful to watch.

Are you guys nuts?? Where the Wild Things Are is great! Charlie and the Chocolate Factory...not so much.
