Ah, another tough one...I guess today, the slight edge goes to Sin City...

Sin City. Without question. The popularity of The Dark Knight is completely mental. Over-long and quite dull in far too many places.

THE DARK KNIGHT was positioned awkwardly between the disturbingly morbid and adolescent Burton BATMAN and the flat-out adult SIN CITY. I prefer either to THE DARK KNIGHT, if only because I like my movies purebred.

Sin City. No question in my opinion.

Such a tough call...

Both are ambitious and original in their own way. Sin City looks so much like Frank Miller's comic book that at times, I thought I was reading the book itself. The Dark Knight goes above and beyond the comic book genre, and it has one of the best villains ever on screen. Slight edge to Dark Knight.

tough one...but i'll vote for Sin City...

I'm in a small minority who didn't like Sin City. For me, this is no contest.

Two movies spawned from comic books. Only one of them breaks beyond being a comic book movie. My vote is for The Dark Knight.

Sin City. Justified by sex appeal. You wann know why Heath won that Oscar? Simply because he referred to Maggie Gyllenhaal as beautiful twice and kept a straigh face (well straight for The Joker anyway).

I could admire the style of Sin City but thought it was misogynistic, so The Dark Knight it is.

TDK wins based on the fact that it has so many great performances, whereas Sin City has a plethora of bad ones, particularly from the females (I'M NOT SEXIST, that has nothing to do with it) Aside from Brittany Murphy, all the female characters gave extremely forced or bland perfomances, and since Frank Miller can't write women to save his life (Whoreswhoreswhores), point goes to The Dark Knight.
SquareMaster is off his rocker. I am a staunch defender of whores and I will battle you to the death sir - to the damn death - in order to preserve their rights, as free, sexy citizens, to enter into economic transactions that stimulate both the tertiary sector, and my penis. In addition, I say that such wanton disregard, nay disdain, for our silver-screen hoes is indicative of pussyphobia. Respect it man. You have to admire the cooch, want the cooch, yearn for the cooch, be one with the cooch, really, truly, deeply NEED the cooch. What's wrong with 'whores, whores, whores'? If that was a store I would shop there for myself, my friends and my girlfriend(s). If that was a record (think Jay-Z) I'd burn it off the internet and bump it outside. The chicks didn't give bad performances... that's exactly how dramatized fallen women should be. Trust me, I know my whores. Unless you are an equally versed conniosseur of hookdom how can you know that these performances were bad? Can you really tell me that badass prostitutes (chicas with asses, assets and artillery) do not in fact talk in sweet, hipster nothings? Ultimately Sin City lives and dies by 'cool'. It follows, of course, that a man who has gained mastery over the "Squares" knows nout of cool. Yield dude, you have no recourse.

I was entertained by a single character in the Dark Knight. I was entertained by an entire film in Sin City. Sin City it is.

i love both but i'll have to go with Dark Knight for being a bad comic book movie but an excellent Crime Thriller

I have to go with Sin City.
