I love 3:10 to Yuma but Val Kilmer wins it for Tombstone.

Same logic. Doc Hollywood and his whisky cup ftw!

I'm going to be the third one to sing the praises of Val Kilmer Tombstone it is.

I prefer 3:10 to Yuma. It has the more interesting story, more interesting and complex characters, and simply is more entertaining overall. Tombstone is also a good movie, though.

I liked the cast but really didn't enjoy 3:10 to Yuma very much. The story dragged and left me quite unfulfilled. Whereas, Tombstone's pace and performances are perfection. Better film by far.

I think I could watch Tombstone every day for the rest of my life and never get tired of it.

I just watched Tombstone for the 1st time and this match-up comes up! Dang, ummm....I'll have to let Tombstone grow on me for a while but yes, Kilmer was fantastic. I still love 3:10

I really liked Tombstone but definitely not as much as Yuma. I agree with CeeTee when he says the characters in Yuma are far more complex. Makes for a great western where the choices the characters face have shades of grey as well. I also found the action scenes and shoot-outs in Yuma more entertaining as the situation is give time to develop and make sense in our heads. Tombstone keeps moving from one gunfight to another in such a relentless fashion, the spark is lost and the viewer becomes indifferent. Maybe that kinda was the point....oh well. Kilmer and Russel gave excellent performances but nope...still won't choose them over Crowe and Bale. 3:10's got a sense of dread and emotion I found hard to locate in Tombstone. Scores level, baby!
