Paris, je t'aime vs. New York, I Love You

I just watched both of these. I've never been to Paris (but I know a little french) and I grew up near New York City (on Long Island). I thought "Paris" was stronger overall despite having some weaker segments. I thought "Paris" did a better job of incorporating the city into the different stories and capturing the essense of different neighborhoods. I thought "New York" was more consistent but overall not as good. "New York" did a better job of weaving most of the stories together or at least connecting them tangentially. "New York" didn't showcase the city enough for me--it wasn't as distinct as it could have been--most of the stories could have taken place in a generic big city. Both were enjoyable but I give Paris the edge.
