    Make the donationbutton more visible “upfront”.
    Why not also consider some kind of benefits for the dontators? I have already donated and don’t really need it, but the more that make a donation, the better it will be…
    Maybe you could have a user limit on the site, where only “premium members” are guaranteed to be able to log in at all times, and the rest just log in if the limits are not reached at the moment of log in?
